Got an e-mail from Big Pulp today; they like Tin Man and want to include it in their Spring 2009 issue, which will be out in March.
Tin Man is a 2,500-word short; urban fantasy and as close as I get to weird, I think. It’s about a fellow from Seattle who comes down from a long, hard drunk, after receiving bad news, with a tin can sprouting from the back of his left hand.
One of those little snap-top cans; you know, the kind that offers up an individual serving of mandarin oranges or sliced carrots or french-cut green beans.
It’s magic, of course, but of what sort is hard to tell.
Big Pulp published quarterly online and PDF. Watch for it.
